Upcoming Chapter Meetings

ALOA members are required to attend a minimum of one (1) state rules meeting each year, as well as four (4) ALOA chapter meetings to stay in good standing. These meetings provide essential updates on rules, mechanics, and officiating best practices.

State Rules Meeting Requirement

  • Every official must attend at least one (1) PIAA state rules meeting each year.
  • These meetings review NFHS rule changes, interpretations, and points of emphasis for the upcoming season.
  • Dates and locations for these meetings are posted by the PIAA and will be communicated to members.

How to Fulfill This Requirement:

  • Attend a live, in-person meeting
  • Participate in an online rules clinic (if available)

Failure to attend a state rules meeting will result in ineligibility to officiate for the season.

ALOA Chapter Meeting Requirement

  • ALOA members must attend four (4) chapter meetings per year.
  • These meetings cover:
    • Local mechanics updates
    • Game management strategies
    • New rule applications
    • Film review and case studies
  • Attendance is tracked, and failure to meet this requirement may result in reduced game assignments.
